Frequently Asked Questions
How are the Ford Transit Window Covers attached?
We use a combination of magnets and friction fit to keep the covers in place behind the trim.
How long does the install take?
3 to 10 minutes per window depending on access to your windows and your layout.
Do these need to be zipped down every time?
No, the zipper helps with blackout. If you just want to fold them down there are magnets in place to keep the flap down.
Can these stay up full time?
Yes we designed them this way, because we have enough stuff to store!
How long to take them down?
10 seconds. They just pull down when you want to remove them.
Do they have bug nets?
The cab windows have a fold down top with bug nets so that you can get airflow.
Do you ship international?
Yes. Please contact us for shipping estimates.

I waited until I’d completed a trip to submit a review, to be sure that my review was accurate. I bought these window covers to replace some that I’d made, which used one of those foam insulation inserts that is faced on both sides with reflective aluminum. Covered that with fabric on both sides, and relied on friction to keep it up under the van trim. Basically the same thing as these, but couldn’t be opened and no magnets. The insulation shrank, so my covers buckled and slid out from under the trim. I was looking for supplies to make more, thinking to put magnets on them, when I found these.
So, my review. Putting them in place was easy, though I never heard the click of the magnets on metal, so I worried that they were not in right. They must have been, they haven’t budged in the month since I installed them. And though I thought being able to open them was unnecessary except in the sliding door, I found that I liked having that option. I mostly keep them closed, but do like to be able to peek out now and then.
They are pretty pricey, but they work, they look good, they are effective insulation, effective light barriers, and I didn’t spend more hours measuring, cutting, and sewing. I would recommend opening them and giving the little facings that are on the outside covering the zippers a brief ironing, so they lie flat under the zippers to block light better. Would I buy them again? You bet. Do I recommend them to others? Absolutely.
Great to see someone understands that not all of us converted from cargo vans – this is the only supplier I’ve found that does window coverings for passenger vans.
I absolutely love our new window covers! Customer Service is also fantastic. I originally screwed up our order and Knarly Vans was able to intercept the order and get it straightened out so we still got our covers quickly. I can’t wait for our next trip!
Easy to install, insulates well, great quality material! Couldn’t have asked for a better product!
Our order was filled quickly. The installation video was clear and the product was easy to install. This cover is much, much better than the DIY solution we had been using! Totally worth the money!
